I Have Found My New Pet Peeve

Chewing loudly. People being late. People who talk about being vegan. People who stand still on the left side of the escalator (Hello NYC.) Those who don’t say ‘Thank you’ when you hold open a door for them.

All of these people are fucking awful. I will though, enter my pick for the absolute worst pet peeve. The one that manages to supersede all of this awful habits/actions. The one thing in the world that when it happens, I find myself instantly filled with intense rage.

It’s pretty damn

Annoying to have

To read a bunch

Of messages like this,

Isn’t it?

Holy shit that is awful. I cannot stand texting with people who don’t understand that it’s much better for you to type out your full thought and hit send rather than piecemeal it together one line at a time. If you text like this, I want it to be very clear; I hate you. I hate everything about you.

Generally, I like to think I’m a relatively rational person, but this just absolutely irks me to no end. I make sure that whenever I talk to someone that I follow proper text etiquette. I text, then you text, then I text, then you text, etc. That’s the procedure. We don’t deviate from that. It’s tried and true. If we’re talking, and my phone buzzes consecutively more than 3 times I’m ready to delete your contact info, block the number, and make sure we have no further contact. I don’t do that, because I’m a large man-child afraid of genuine confrontation, but you get the gist.

Please, do the world a favor; Type out your message fully and coherently before you hit send. Don’t do it for me. Do it so people don’t mention you in the same breathe as people who talk incessantly about being gluten-free.
